Skilled DIY musicians can learn to record music partially or wholly at home that sounds almost as good as what can be produced in a slick studio
<font size="3" face="Tempus sans ITC, Papyrus,Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I know one musician who is recording his album at home all on his own and it sounds just as good as if done in a hi-tech studio. I've heard a bunch of songs he's done and they all sound very professional and there's no way anyone could tell they've been recorded at home.

For these so-called Do It Yourself artists, securing a major-label deal is no longer the object of their aspirations. They have either become disillusioned with the majors based on past mishaps or never saw a place for themselves within the establishment to begin with. Their efforts have been facilitated by home recording and the Internet.
<font size="3" face="Tempus sans ITC, Papyrus,Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Isn't that the truth! When you see talentless people getting record deals and selling their records and real talents can't get a break, it's hard to stay hopeful and expect to some day get a record deal. It's a real shame cos great music may not reach the audience that would appreciate it. And there's so much you have to do after finishing the album to even get your music out there and get noticed. Internet is great, but it can only do so much.
I'm crossing my fingers this guy I know will make it and not be forced to go play for other bands as he's done for the past 10 years all the while dreaming of making his own album cos he's definitely one of the most talented musicians I've heard.
